Placement Cardiology

Main Duties of Placement

Primarily ward-based duties, a combination of assisting on ward rounds and leading ward rounds. The majority of ward-based time is on CCU and medical receiving and clerking duties there.

Assist in taking cardiology referrals and advising where appropriate.

You will be required to do some out of hours on-call work.

Typical Work Pattern

Full shifts with cross cover for general medicine on calls at weekends and evenings. There are also a few sets of nights cover general.

Specific FY2 teaching.

Monthly cardiology educational meetings.

Teaching

Teaching days are organised throughout the year for FY2.
