Features

We have many years training experience, and our GPSTs have a good record of attainment.

Dr Mackay has an interest in psychiatry and occupational medicine, Dr Johnson works with the local  addiction service and Dr Hassan is a hospital practitioner in dermatology.

We carry out minor surgery, joint injections, contraceptive IUDs and implants in the surgery.

Dr Johnson runs a branch surgery in Luss.

In addition to our 6 GP partners we have 2 practice nurses who assist in the management of chronic diseases , a treatment room nurse and 2 health care assistants who provide phlebotomy and blood pressure checks.

Our district nursing team is based in the building and we work closely with them in caring for our palliative patients. Our health visiting team meet regularly with us to discuss vulnerable families.

We meet weekly in the practice and use this opportunity to share information with the primary care team. GPSTs are encourage to attend these meetings.

The practice uses EMIS software.

We have an excellent record of high QOF achievement and participate in a number of enhanced services.

Educational opportunities

In addition to the facilities at the practice, an excellent library and postgraduate educational programme can found at the Vale of Leven Hospital.

The practice runs regular educational meetings for all clinical staff.
