Any interesting features of the practice
We are a friendly practice with local staff who know the area and patients well. We have 4 partners each working part of the week so the team is varied and keen to help, two Healthcare Assistants, and our Practice Nurse- all very helpful and friendly. Neilston is a thriving close-knit community and is served by a railway station two minutes’ walk from the Practice. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside which can be enjoyed during house visits to the nearby communities. Our referring hospital is the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley which is around 20minutes by car.
Educational opportunities
The structure of the practice has been specifically arranged to facility supervision and education assistance from the partners. Our registrar is encouraged to identify their learning needs and we are happy to help address these either in house or by arranging support elsewhere.
The practice has considerable experience in undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching
Advantages/opportunities of working in your practice
As a small friendly practice we have time to spend with our registrar to support and guide them through the training year.
