The team at Main Street Medical Centre also consists of in-house Pharmacy and Physiotherapy teams as well as a Community Links Practitioner who aids with the social needs of our patients. Having been a training Practice for a number of years, we also host GPST1 and GPST3 trainees as well as FY2 doctors during their four month General Practice rotation.

Advantages of working with Main Street Medical Centre

We are a progressive Practice and look for innovative ways of working to provide effective and qualitative medical care to our patients as well as an enhanced working environment for our staff. The Management team values the ideas and suggestions of our staff and encourage professional development amongst our staff members.

The Practice utilises modern technology to deliver our services and each clinical room is equipped with webcams for video consultations, headsets and modern telephony system for providing telephone consultations and we also have Wi-Fi facilities on site. We are a paper light Practice and use Vision and DOCMAN for our main clinical IT systems.

Clinicians are supported by a long-serving team of Medical Receptionists who signpost patients to appropriate external and internal services and agencies, type GP dictations when referring to specialised services and are currently being trained in Workflow Optimisation to be able to effectively manage all incoming clinical mail.

Main Street Medical Centre values the welfare of our staff and ensure time for daily catch up sessions with clinical and non-clinical staff members and provide tea and coffee to the team, as well as weekly fruit deliveries to promote and encourage health and wellbeing. The Practice is also committed to improving our carbon footprint and are working collaboratively together on sustainability and improving our “green together” ethos.
