Location

The practice is located in Glasgow’s South Side close the city centre and excellent transport links to Ayrshire, Lanarkshire and Edinburgh.  We benefit from close proximity to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and the New Victoria Hospital.

List Size and demographic

We have a mixed and diverse demographic with a list size of circa 10,000 patient over both sites.

Cluster Working

We are a member of the Glasgow South ‘grey’ cluster.  Our Senior Partner, Dr Jill Fowlie is also our Practice Quality Lead, representing the practice at Cluster level and ensuring we are involved in a wider system approach to improve local population health in our community.

Special interests

Dr Kashif Ali – Diabetes, Obesity and Occupational Health.

He is primary care lead for the Diabetes Managed Clinical Network in NHS Glasgow and Clyde and is a nationally elected member of the RCGP Scotland Council. He has also been the national Training Programme Director for Occupational Medicine in the past.

Dr Sumi Roy has completed a Health Inequalities fellowship. Her clinical areas of interest include child health, women’s health and dermatology. 

Nursing colleagues

We benefit from ANP, Practice Nurse, Treatment Room Nurse and Health Care Support Worker support at both sites each day. Our Nursing team work very closely with the GP Partners, taking a holistic approach to patient care.

Attached staff

We are supported by attached staff including Health visitors, District Nurses and Prescribing Support Pharmacists.  Each has their own specialist areas of expertise and they are a wonderful compliment to our team.  With the continued roll out of the new GMS GP Contract, we hope to be joined by other team members such as Physiotherapists & Community Link Workers soon.

Practice Business Manager, Practice Manager and Administration Team

We have a unique management team with a Business Manager leading the team on a number of improvement projects. 

Our Practice Manager deals with all operational aspects of the practice , managing staff and implementing new patient centred initiatives to help us deliver the best care for our patients.

We have a very knowledgeable and hard working administrative team who are all very skilled in dealing with our patients, ensuring that they are attended to by the right person at the right time and in the right setting.

Training
