Educational Opportunities

  • All partners are actively involved in registrar training.  Our Practice Manager and Nurses also offer training in their areas of expertise.
  • Good educational and developmental opportunities within the practice, with a wide range of specialist interests –  e.g. minor surgery, women’s health, family planning, palliative care, diabetes, sports medicine
  • The practice offers undergraduate training to all stages of medical students.  FY2 training occurs throughout the year. 

Advantages of working on our practice

  • Good team spirit, with registrars regarded very much as valuable members of the team, whilst recognising their educational needs and supernumerary role.  Supportive culture amongst all staff.
  • 5 of the current GPs received training within the practice.
  •  Weekly multidisciplinary & business meetings involving Social Work, District Nurses, Health Visitor, Practice Nurse and GPs.
  • Monthly educational meetings for all GPs – everybody takes part, and trainees encouraged to lead a session.
  • SEA meetings involving all staff twice a year.
  • Positive feedback from patients – especially regarding ease of access to appointments.
  • Good feedback from recent trainees.  Very high pass rate in MRCGP.
