Advantages/opportunities of working in your practice

  • Our registrars have traditionally achieved above average scores in the MRCGP exam on a very regular basis.
  • Previous registrars have successfully undertaken general practice ambassadorial roles.
  • The practice is based in a Health Centre with 3 other training practices, which allows for regular, professional and social contact with colleagues, which most registrars find quite enjoyable.
  • The practice has earned a reputation for innovation.  Examples include the development of general practice based diabetic clinics, the Links Project and the Govan SHIP Project, all of which explore new models of working in primary care.
  • As part of the Govan SHIP project the practice was awarded the RCGP Practice Team of the Year award.
