The Team

  • We have five friendly GP Partners (3 accredited trainers) a Retainer GP, an ANP and FY2 placement doctors.
  • Our nursing team consists of 2 practice nurses and 3 Healthcare assistants.
  • We have an excellent Pharmacy team to help with prescribing issues.
  • The clinical staff are supported by a strong administrative team.
  • We also teach medical students.
  • We will hopefully have a community links worker withing the practice over the next few months.
  • All of our team are approachable and keen to help the new trainees.

The Practice

  • Our Practice has a population of approximately 9400 patients from all patient demographics.  Many of our patients come from areas of higher deprivation. This allows our GPSTs to have a broad experience in primary care and gain experience on the effect of social issues on health.
  • The practice operates from a single site, modern, purpose built premises with off street parking. Local amenities are nearby including Morrison’s and Lidl in case you need a quick lunch! There are good transport links to the practice including nearby train stations and bus routes.
  • We offer minor surgery and joint injections along with Nexplanon clinics. We also run methadone clinics. GP trainees are encouraged to gain experience in these areas.
  •  The practice is committed to training, with all GP’s, and allied staff regularly involved in tutorials.  Clinical and non-clinical members of the team are encouraged to take part in education and training events.
  • We have a regular meeting/education program including protected learning, monthly business meetings and regular MDT and clinical meetings.
  • Trainees are treated as part of our practice team and are fully involved in all areas of the general practice business during attachments
  • The GP ST3 usually has their own room
  • We are paper-light, using EMIS and Docman.
  • Our local hospitals are the New Victoria and the QEUH and Leverndale psychiatric hospital.

We look forward to you joining our team!
