Type of practice:

We are a 4 partner training practice. We are located in Blantyre which is a town of 17,500 people in Lanarkshire within easy reach of Glasgow. Our list size is 7000 and has mixed demographics.

Partners and outside interests:

Dr Mary-Jo Sommerville has an interest in Women's Health, Family Planning and Events Medicine.

Dr Graeme Bingham is a CSA examiner for the RCGP and has an interest in Public Health and Musculoskeletal Medicine.

Dr Mobeen Ashraf has an interest in Diabetes, Mental health and is our Cluster Lead for Quality Improvement.

Dr Kieran Dinwoodie has an interest in Dermatology, Geriatric Medicine and International Primary Care.

We also provide medical cover for 4 care homes which gives extra opportunities for COTE learning.

Features of the practice:

We are a friendly team based in a modern health centre with purpose built consulting rooms and clinical facilities. We meet daily for coffee in the morning and over lunch. We have been a training practice for over 25 years. Our registrars have high first time pass rates for CSA. In addition we have taken several trainees for remedial training and they have passed their CSA first time while being based with us.
