Number of partners and outside interests

We are a small friendly practice of 2 GP partners. We have been a training practice since 2020 and the whole team are fully committed and involved in the training experience. We have a small, dedicated team of administration staff lead by our practice manager, alongside a practice nurse and health care assistant. We also have a community links worker, pharmacist andfinancial inclusion worker as part of our close-knit team. The practice has very good patient satisfaction scores.

Any interesting features of the practice

We are a Deep End practice with high levels of deprivation, chronic disease andmulti-morbidity, situated within a purpose-built centre, shared with another practice. There is a regular addiction clinic with the support of an attached addiction worker. Dr Miller fits contraceptive implants, has an interest in dermatology, and undergraduate teaching.  Dr Fleming trained in the area and was a Deep End Pioneer fellow at the practice after completing training.

Educational opportunities

With high levels of chronic disease and multi-morbidity there is plenty of opportunity to gain experience in managing these conditions. We have regular multidisciplinary meetings covering palliative care and vulnerable families which allows opportunities for our trainees to chair clinical meetings.

Advantages/opportunities of working in your practice

We are a small practice which enables trainees to get to know the patients and staff well and be involved in all aspects of practice life. As a new training practice, we are enthusiastic and provide a fun and supportive environment to learn and work.
