Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) During Interviews

2027 Process Changes

CT1 Internal Medicine Training 

  • Any changes to the process will be published by the end of September 2026. 

ST1 Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery 

  • Self-Assessment and Interview Scoring Criteria - There have been some changes to the criteria and guidance for 2027 so applicants should consult this prior to applying.
  • MSRA – Longlisted applicants must undertake the Multi-Specialty Recruitment Assessment (MSRA). In 2027 the score from the MSRA will make up 10% of an applicant’s overall score.
  • Interviews – It will be mandatory for all candidates to setup a second device (smartphone / tablet) as a second camera for the duration of their interview  
  • Appointability – Overall score will be made up of; MSRA 10%, Shortlisting 15%, Interview 75%
