|Main Duties of Placement||
Responsible for the day to day care of O&G inpatients.
Participation at outpatient clinics.
Assisting in theatre.
On call for O&G receiving.
|Typical Work Pattern||
1 in 5 weekends on call.
Overnight cross cover of paediatric services shared with paediatric trainees.
Hospital and department induction.
Dedicated, protected weekly foundation teaching.
Twice weekly departmental teaching.
Excellent computer access for e-learning and online modules.
Weekly journal club, grand rounds and lunchtime meetings as part of hospital CME programme.
Ample opportunity to undertake audit with presentation at audit and research evenings.
Bleep free weekly FY2 teaching (Thursday lunchtime) and opportunity to attend general teaching on a Friday morning.
Weekly half day protected teaching.
Monthly Mortality and Morbidity meetings.
